12/28/11 OREGON DUCK SAVES MAN's LIFE @ BEEF BOWL: " The 6-foot-7, 325-pound Asper came to the aid of Paul Diamond, father of a UO student, after he began choking at the event that is a Rose Bowl tradition. Asper performed the Heimlich, which he learned as an Eagle Scout n Idaho, causing a chunk of beef to fly out of Diamond's mouth."With Mark, it's not surprising," Oregon running back Kenjon Barner said. "That's just who Mark is. Mark is the most caring, loving guy I've ever met. So for it to be Mark Asper n that situation, it's not surprising at all."
