EASTER MESSAGE, 2008

HE LIVES !
HE LIVES !
What a HOLY WEEK ! It began last Sunday with the LIVE LORD SUPPER celebration at the CV ROCK church in Palm Desert, CA, and ended with ‘EASTER AT THE BOWL!” (the HOLLYWOOD BOWL, of course).

And if all goes well I’ll be attending one more EASTER service at the GREAT WESTERN FORUM (where the Lakers used to play) in about an hour from now.

Meanwhile, I’m taking the time to compose my own EASTER message for YOU, my faithful followers.











And it is a MESSAGE OF HOPE ! Only a few days ago CHRIST was crucified on the CROSS in a humiliating, agonizing death; and think back to 2000 years ago when they had not yet realized the FINAL OUTCOME !

Think how the FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS of JESUS felt. Dejected? Definitely. Confused ? For sure. Confident that HE would
return ? Maybe not so confident.




And so THINK how they FELT when, INDEED, they did FIND an EMPTY TOMB and later JESUS did, IN FACT, re-appear to HIS disciples ! WHAT A FEELING !

And all we can do is PROCLAIM,
“HE LIVES, HE LIVES !” And we KEEP PROCLAIMING it over 2000 years later ! PRAISE THE LORD !













And it is a BEAUTIFUL MORNING here in Southern California ! The sun came up while the Easter at the Bowl worship service was progressing. And they had a special TRIBUTE to the late “MAYOR OF
HOLLYWOOD”, Johnny Grant.

And various CHOIRS sang. They released a flock of WHITE DOVES ! Brenda Jackson sang “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!” Michael Fitzpatrick did a great cello solo. There was a tribute to Violet Parkhurst. And Henry Masters, among others, gave an Easter Message saying like JESUS we’ve beeen “shamed, named, & finally CLAIMED”, and concluded by saying “Take the EASTER POWER and go TRANSFORM the world !”

It was VERY INSPIRATIONAL! The service concluded with a brief word from our honorable Los Angeles mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, who spoke of REDEMPTION.

And NOW I say to YOU: HE LIVES, HE LIVES ! Go proclaim the GOOD NEWS !
