3/15/11 HAS ST. BASIL CHURCH ON WILSHIRE BECOME SMUG ?! WHERE's the LOVE ? Hear my prayer for St. Basil on Wilshire, a mainstay of mine cor spiritual renewal this past year, esp @ 630am, but also at other times. However, I'm NOT always feeling the love at this church anymore. Not to mention any names, or point fingers, but sometimes I feel as if some of the priests are on auto pilot. Sometimes they aren't even doing homilies anymore, not even a few encouraging words. I will say that it is encouraging that they added a 530pm daily mass during Lent. That's a positive sign, but ONLY if they put some heart & soul into it. We need all of you, St. Basil: heart, mind, & soul ! Don't hold back. Don't be smug.
KEEP the FAITH I! it's about FAITH, ABOUT GOD, JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT, LOVE ..peace, joy, kindness, care, happiness.. about doing what's right.. treating others better than yourself, about servant leadership, .. it's about hoping for the best from others, even when we live in a world with too much anger and mistreatment of others.. KEEP HOPING for the BEST from others..and DO UNTO OTHERS AS u would HOPE they do UNTO U..
