10/9/11 cblog I CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME; st irenaeus m: "I can do all things .." ..share w/ u some reflections ..the scr often can lift our spirits & give us hope..paul makes claims "all things possible" as an instrument to claim good news to gentiles ..paul knew since god chose him for this noble task, god will also provide what was necc to do so ..paul called on god for power & was never disappointed ...this applies to each one of us who was baptized ..like st pauul, god has given each one of us A special role in life ..& god will give us the strength to meet life's challenges w/ joy & confidence..spiritual exercise...3 days..commit ch4.13 to memory..let this word simmer in your hearts & minds for 3 days..identify those situations in which the verse is true for u ..I can do anything in him who strengthens me ..person wrestling w/ tempt to medit on this verse to avoid sin..as your patience grows thin..say I can do anything thru him who strengthens me ..similarly..person feeling frightened ,discourged. For cancer treatment can repeat this....will give hope..attending mass is appropr time to thank god ..when u return here next sun u can pray this prayer of thanksgiving..helping u to realize god never gives a burden that we can't meet ..next week feel power & love of god in your life ..3 days pray this
