I'm ecstatic..end of homily (joke)..also new year 2011..also celbration of god..also octave of christmas..8th day..1st remembering..to remember..not just look at some nostalgic book in the past...remembering .. spiritual...more than just  nostalgic..that god is blessing us today..hebrews. god says to moses..this is how u should bless the israelites..lord bless & keep u..not just a look at past..israelites..every day..now see before them the promised land..they counted their blessings..blessing for us every day..renew blessings..eliz browning..how many ways let me count your blessings..every day..we can be a blessing counter..what has god done for you..2nd ..city of L.A. ..MANY REASONS TO COUNT BLESSINGS..headlines..killing in L.A. drops to 1967 levels..fewer than 300 homicides in L.A. this year...hasn't been that low since 1967 ..300 still 300 too many..in county ..indep orgs ..homicides tumbled by 40% ..in 1992 almost 1100 killings in L.A. ..every week we did petitions re end to violence..greatest fear ee had as angelenos was crime..so congrats to LA police..various agencies..and to neighborhoods..and to young people for opting out of gangs..this liturgical year..mary mother of god..she is the beacon of hope..she points the way..so we might know ..god's peace..recommit., renew rship w/ mother mary..recognize..sit down evey day for a few moments talk to her..she's a great mentor..she will lead u closer in rship to Jesus..on this eve of 2011..invite us to be a blessing counter..every day..in most ancient of scriptural blessings..evety couple ..I pray at all weddings here..lord bless & keep..shine face..kindly give u peace.
