As noted, I had her husband, Miroslav Volf, for a systematic theology class and had Judy for a New Testament class. The two of them were fairly friendly and even invited students to come to their house in Altadena . I think they had just had their first baby at the time, and a year or so later they moved to Yale (Miroslav took a position at the Yale Divinity School). Judy's father is a theological scholar as well.
