5/3/11 cblog The CHALLENGE: TO BE LIKE THE FATHER, LIKE JESUS, ONE & THE SAME; holy fam 630p "when philip asks,...lord show us the father..that will be enough..jesus to philip ..I've been with u so long and u still don't know me..what means by "know" ..essence of discipleship..his teachings and intimate rshp...who challenges us to take up cross, jesus was telling..if u know me as a friend, have rshp u have seen the father, ..sometimes,, the hospital, not just burdensome, ..not always sad or discouraging, sometimes joyful, nursery of hospital, parents w newborn babies, look at eyes,,looks like mine, my nose, ..my wives lips, so good to hear if this is the comparison, ..if says looks like the gardener of my neighbor u know u got a problem [crude joke]..when jesus said, whoever has seen me has seen father, he's not talking about same looks, same face, ..doesn't mean physique of body, ..simply saying capacity to love, care, like the father, to understand and forgive....going deeper, when lord said this,,whoever has seen me, has seen jesus in me, need to have jesus in our lives, can we truly say whoever has touched me has touched, ..challenge to all of us..need to b like father , like Jesus, loving caring understanding, this is the challenge of the gospel, ... let this gospel inspire us..philip great apostle, lord said believe me because of words and works I do, ... do because the father asked me to do, same challenge, mission..all of us,,that jesus may be seen in all of us"

Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do and will do greater ones than these because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.
