JAMES: USE POWER to SERVE; st cat lab "...think that Jesus would go to Jerusalem to rule...mother believed it..Jesus..the two disciples..in fact he wants his disciples to be great at first..but should be first by serving, even if means sacrificing life...disciples will lose life for sake of others..that's why jesus gave command to disciples..re feast of st james.. apostles diffrnt .james.judas..we know how judas died..james also died ..he went to spain..to the poor people ..he was disappointed bc the pagans did not accept..he prayed to mother mary. She gave him a small stat of her & he build a church for her..mother of pillar ?..same time he preached gospel..died for sake of jc..find in today's gospel..wnt to be great mst serve ..he fulflled the desire of Jesus..in his life..why he was beheaded by the king..to satisfy the jewish people..he lived the poor life, simple life ..celebr his feast ..let us also blv we r disciples of jesus ..everything we got..have to live for Jesus..to serve others ...all .positions..have the powers..use as christians to serve the people., serve the lord..follow like james ..sermon of sermons..great power..using power to serve ..follow example of st james to serve 2 Cor 4:7-15 Brothers and sisters: We hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us. We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body For we who live are constantly being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh So death is at work in us, but life in you. Since, then, we have the same spirit of faith according to what is written, I believed, therefore I spoke, we too believe and therefore speak, knowing that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and place us with you in his presence. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
