CHRISTMAS CARD
from
SHERWOOD & RUTH's ARMY FAMILY(mid-70's)
UNCLE SHERWOOD was a career military man in the army. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel & served in various parts of the world, including Germany & Vietnam (big red one). We are eternally thankful to those who serve our country in the military and are willing to sacrifice their lives for our protection. We also must remember how difficult the military can be on families at times when it moves them around and sometimes splits them up. My Uncle Sherwood died at a relatively young age after retiring from the Army and two of the children (Gary & Kathy) have already passed away. Army life is difficult not only for the person in the army (or any branch of the military) but for the other family members as well. God bless Sherwood & Ruth and their family, and God bless all our military families around the world.
