Julius E. Kosters
"KOSTERS - Mr. Julius E. Kosters, age 71, of Kentwood, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on October 14, 1937 near Corsica, SD. Julius (Jupe) attended Corsica High School and Calvin College, Grand Rapids, MI. He worked as a painter for some 40 years and established a painting business, with partners, in Grand Rapids, MI. The business that he participated in managing became known as Kosters and De Vries Painting.
Julius was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Kosters, and by his parents, Albert and Alice (Vander Luit) Kosters. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Steven (Christine) Kosters, Gayle (Dale) Knuver, and James (Olga) Kosters; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sister, Alvin (Julia) Kosters, Marvin (Bonnie) Kosters, and Harriet Weeks; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter (Dorothy) Goudzwaard, and Rick (Laura) Goudzwaard; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, MI."
